Michael Skubala made four changes to the side that defeated Harrogate Town in the Carabao Cup last Tuesday, with Freddie Draper rewarded for his strike against the Sky Bet League Two side with a start.

George Wickens returned in goal, with James Collins named in the attack. Meanwhile, Conor McGrandles was selected to make a milestone 150th appearance for the Imps.

Speaking about the achievement, Conor said: “It’s a proud moment. I didn’t think when I came here that I’d get to that amount of appearances.

“I try to do the same things whoever I’m playing with in midfield. Obviously there are different things that other people are better at so you can play on that. I just try to do the right thing in the right moment no matter who I’m playing alongside.

“It was disappointing last week against Wimbledon (where the Imps lost 2-0 last Saturday) - it felt like a game we were looking to build into. We know this will be a really hard game as well. It’s going to be real tough, they’ll come here to win so we’re going to have to be at it if we want the right result.”

Head coach Michael Skubala said: “We know it’s going to be a tough game, Plymouth have some good individual players but we want to take the game to them.

“The starting XI is strong, Freddie Draper was fantastic in midweek and deserves his place in the team.

“Over the last couple of years he’s really grown. He came back in pre-season and looked really sharp, we know that when he’s on his game that he’s a real handful for any defender.”

Imps: Wickens, Darikwa, Towler, Hackett, Bayliss, Collins, McGrandles, Bradley, Street, Hamer, Draper.

Subs: Jeacock, Hamilton, Ring, House, Okoro, Okewoye, Carlisle.
