Head coach Michael Skubala is looking for his side to go into Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup tie with confidence as the Imps look to reach the next round.
City travel to Sky Bet League Two side Harrogate Town for the first round of the competition. The Sulphurites have enjoyed a strong start to the campaign, claiming four points from their opening two games.
Skubala expects a tough test at the Exercise Stadium and believes his side must show confidence to get to the round two.
He said: “We’re confident but they will be too. They’ve started well, we’ve watched both of their games back. They’re a competitive team, they know how to play. They’re solid in what they do and we’ve got to go to their place.
“It’s not going to be an easy game but we’ve got to go there with some confidence and a group that we think can get us into the next round which is what we all want."

Skubala highlighted the importance of cup results and he’s targeting progression in the competition.
He added: “All the cup competitions are really important to the club and to the fans. We want to do well and I think we can fight on all fronts and we want to do that.
“In the next round of the Carabao Cup you can get a big draw, so we want to go through and get ourselves in the hat.”
