City will look to make it three league wins in a row when they make the short trip to Peterborough United on Saturday 27 September (3pm KO).
Michael Skubala's side haven't tasted defeat in the league since Saturday 9 August, a run which stretches across seven league matches. Only world champions Chelsea have defeated the Imps in that time, with City pushing the Premier League side all the way in Tuesday's narrow 2-1 reverse in the Carabao Cup.
Michael Skubala’s thoughts:
“Peterborough are on an upturn, you can see that in the last two results. We know it is going to be a tough game, like I said, for many different reasons.
“But we think we can put a team on the pitch again that can go and get some points out of it.
“We want to go there to try and win the game like always, and if we can, I think it'd be a great result.”
Reeco Hackett:
"From a team perspective I think things are going really well for us at the moment. We feel like we perhaps should have even more points on the board than we already do, but that shows how well we've performed.
"We know where we can improve, which is a good sign and the fact we've picked up points in the process is a good sign.
"There's a big squad here and everyone is playing their part, which I think can only help us. There's a great balance at the minute, which gives us plenty of options."
Opposition information:
After a slow start to the campaign, Posh will be looking for a third successive league win when they host the Imps on Saturday.
Darren Ferguson's side followed up a 2-1 home win over Wycombe Wanderers with an away victory at Plymouth Argyle last Saturday.
The two sides drew 1-1 on City's last trip to Peterborough, with Ben House's opener cancelled out by Kwame Poku.
