City host West Bromwich Albion for their final 2025/26 pre-season fixture on Saturday 26 July (3pm KO)

Michael Skubala's side return to the LNER Stadium for the first time since May when they take on Sky Bet Championship side West Bromwich Albion.

The Imps have go into Saturday's clash off the back of another useful exercise at Blundell Park, with Reeco Hackett getting himself on the scoresheet against Grimsby Town on Tuesday night.

Michael Skubala thoughts:

“We’ve got another test this Saturday before our season gets underway against a West Brom side who I felt were unlucky not to get in the play-offs last season.

“We know they will cause us problems, but that is what we want from a game against an opposition like that.

“It’ll be good to get back to the LNER Stadium to play in front of our home fans again and test ourselves against a good side.”

Opposition insight:

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City midfielder Ryan Mason will take charge of his first ever season as a head coach, having been appointed by the Baggies in the summer. Prior to his switch to the West Midlands, Mason built up his coaching experience with Spurs, where he was Ange Postecoglou's assistant in a campaign which saw his former club land the Europa League crown last term.

The Baggies will be looking to improve on last season's ninth-placed finish in the second tier last season, where they missed out on a play-off spot by just four points.
