City start their 2025/26 Carabao Cup campaign with a trip to Harrogate Town on Tuesday 12 August (7.45pm KO).

After the opening two rounds of the Sky Bet League One season, attention turns to the Carabao Cup with the Imps hoping to reach the next round of the competition when they travel to The Exercise Stadium.

Michael Skubala’s thoughts:

"We want to put a team on the pitch that can be competitive but of course we have to try and look after some bodies. We want to go and win the game and get through to the next round.

“We’re confident, but they will be too. They’ve started well, we’ve watched both of their games back and they’re a competitive team, they know how to play. They’re solid in what they do and we’ve got to go to their place.

“All the cup competitions are really important to the club and to the fans. We want to do well and I think we can fight on all fronts and we want to do that."

Tom Hamer:

"It's good to be back. Once you're back from the off-season, you can't wait to get back going and with the league coming back a few weeks ago, it feels good to be back.

"We know what Harrogate are about, having done our analysis on them. We'll go into the game like any other game, try to win and do what we've been working on during the week."
