Sonny Bradley feels he has settled into life at City after joining the club in late June.

Signed early in the summer, Bradley went straight into Michael Skubala’s side for the season opener against Reading and has remained ever-present since with the Imps picking up three wins in their first four league outings.

The experienced defender believes he’s acclimatised well to life at the Imps and that the squad is in a good place after a positive start to the campaign.

He said: “I felt settled in pre-season after three or four weeks being here, so certainly after a few more games I feel even more at home - more time with the lads, more games, more sessions, there’s more bodies coming in and I feel good.

“I’m personally in a good place and I think that mirrors the position the squad are in, as a group we’re in a really good position."

Bradley reflected on Tuesday night’s victory at Northampton Town where he proved pivotal, making a number of vital blocks and tackles to protect City’s 1-0 lead.

He is hoping the resilience shown at Sixfields will give his side a platform to build on going into a tough test against promotion-hopefuls Bolton Wanderers.

He added: “That’s ultimately my job to help the team get clean sheets. I’d like to chip in with a few goals as the season goes on but first and foremost it’s about not conceding chances and goals.

“Any game in League One, especially away from home, you’re going to get tested and it’s going to be a difficult game so to come through against Northampton with a clean sheet was brilliant. It gives us a platform to build on moving into a difficult game on Saturday.”
