Head coach Michael Skubala hands debuts to deadline day recruits Adam Reach and Fin Barbrook for the Vertu Trophy clash against Notts County at the LNER Stadium.
Oscar Thorn also makes his first start for City after completing his move from Colchester United earlier in the window.
Overall, Skubala has made nine changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Mansfield Town on Saturday, with Lewis Montsma coming in for his first appearance of the season.
Sonny Bradley plays, with his one-match suspension after a red card in Saturday's game not applying in the Vertu Trophy.
City’s other deadline day recruits Justin Obikwu and Dexter Lembikisa are unavailable after being selected for international duty with Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica respectively.
Skubala said: “We feel in a good place and we want to go out and get three points in this group. Adam comes in and we’ll see how he gets on, Fin is in a good place and ready to go.
“It’s great that we can get the team in straight away and have a look at them. We’ve got some good depth now, which we’re pleased about.”
