City head coach Michael Skubala makes two changes to the side that defeated Northampton Town 1-0 in midweek.
Adams Jackson goes straight back into the starting XI after serving his suspension, with Ben House also coming into the team. James Collins and Rob Street make way to the bench.
Meanwhile, City’s latest signing Ivan Varfolomeev is named on the bench after completing his move from Czech side FC Slovan Liberec.
Head coach Michael Skubala said: “We know what Bolton are about, they are a very tough team to play here.
“They’ve dominated teams here without really getting the results and all their stats are really strong.
“We’ve got to come here and be resilient, connected and work really hard to get something out of the game.”
