Michael Skubala was pleased with the resilience shown by his side as the Imps made it back-to-back wins in all competitions with victory over Doncaster Rovers.
City returned to the LNER Stadium after a stint of five away games and maintained their brilliant home record to return to winning ways in Sky Bet League One with a 2-1 success against the South Yorkshire side.
Skubala said: “The most important thing is coming back to LNER Stadium and getting a home win again.
"We've had a long run of away games - the atmosphere was great and in the first half in particular I thought we were electric. Now we can go away and see if we can pick some more points up on the road to build on this."
Goalscorer Frankie Okoronkwo caught the eye as he headed home his second goal of the week, getting on the end of a Tendayi Darikwa delivery from the right.
Skubala said: "Frankie's performance was top drawer building on his performance against Barnsley in midweek.
"He also had to help out Adam Reach in stopping Luke Molyneux on the left. His goal was a well taken move and a great move down the right.
“I also thought Conor McGrandles and Tom Bayliss' partnership in midfield was excellent, in fact there are some top performances all around the pitch which really helped us dig in and get the three points.”
