Jack Moylan has called on the Imps to keep their impressive unbeaten run going when they host Bradford City on Tuesday 27 January (7.45pm KO).
Moylan scored twice to help City to a 2-1 win over Burton Albion on Thursday, a result which saw the Imps extend their unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One to 10 matches.
The Bantams are next up at the LNER Stadium and Moylan believes the Imps are going to need everyone behind them.
Moylan said: “We’re on a really good run at the moment, but we can’t get carried away. This has to continue until May.
“We’ve put ourselves in a really good position and we’re playing well, but we need to keep our foot on the gas.
“This is the best dressing room I’ve ever been a part of and there’s real belief in the there. You know that the person next to you would run through a brick wall for the team and we’re going to need everyone again on Tuesday.
“Our next game is our biggest of the season so far, I don’t want to hide away from that. It is massive for both teams and we’ll be doing everything to get the three points.”
The attacker made it four for the season with his goals against the Brewers, and was quick to praise his team-mates for sticking together in order to get the win.
He added: “As a team it was great for us to stick together and respond to another setback with their equaliser. Other teams would go under at that moment, but we got over the line.
“For the first goal it opened up for me to strike, luckily it flew off my boot and into the corner.
“Trust me, we’ve worked on that second goal a lot. Shawy (Tom Shaw) has done a lot of work with us around following on keepers spilling balls, especially on a wet night like Thursday.
“Thankfully, it paid off for us and I was delighted it helped us to get the three points.”
