City are back in Sky Bet League One action with a trip to the AESSEAL New York Stadium to take on Rotherham United (3pm KO).

Read the pre-match thoughts of head coach Michael Skubala and Tom Bayliss ahead of the fixture against the Millers and familiarise yourself with the key match information in our preview.

Michael Skubala:

"I went to watch them on Tuesday night, they dug deep to get back in the game and are a really tough team to play against. They are a strong home team and have only lost to Stockport there this year.

"We need to concentrate on ourselves, that's the reality. We have a job to do and that is to go there and fight for the three points. It will be a challenge for us, but we believe we have enough to get something out of the game."

Tom Bayliss:

"I don't think our performances have really mirrored our results as of late. We're still playing with the same intensity and style we were playing with at the start of the season.

"I think the results and key moments in the games haven't gone our way, but on Saturday we'll be looking to put that right and get a win.

"We know every game is a tough one at this level, but we will be going there looking to get the three points. Games like this are really important, especially at this stage of the season, we need to put our foot down and get back on track."

Opposition information:

The Millers are five unbeaten in Sky Bet League One and are climbing up the table after a big summer of change, which included the permanent appointment of Matt Hamshaw after an interim spell following the dismissal of Steve Evans in March 2025.

Despite a spell on the sideline, Sam Nombe is Rotherham's top goalscorer with four goals in 412 minutes. Goals have been spread across the pitch so far this term for the hosts, with 14 players getting on the scoresheet in all competitions.

Last time out, the Millers battled back from 2-0 down at home to Burton Albion, securing a point with a last minute equaliser through young defender Hamish Douglas on his league debut.
