Huddersfield Town progressed from Group F of the Vertu Trophy in second place beating Newcastle United U21 and Mansfield Town.

The Terriers started their campaign with a 6-2 victory at home against Newcastle, with former Imp Joe Taylor netting twice before losing their second fixture against eventual group winners Harrogate Town. They finished strong with a 3-1 victory at the Accu Stadium with Dion Charles grabbing a brace. 

Former Imps Sean Roughan and Lasse Sorensen have all started group games in this competition along with Taylor.
