The Imps will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One to 23 games when they host AFC Wimbledon on Good Friday (3pm KO).
Read the thoughts of Michael Skubala and Tendayi Darikwa as well as all the key information ahead of the clash with the Dons.
Michael Skubala:
“They are a very tough team to play against, they’ve had an exceptional season for their first one coming into this and we’re fully focused on trying to get three points.
“On Friday all we’ll be focused on is our job, we have to be, because we need to win the game and get all three points, I won’t be looking at anything going on elsewhere because we know we have a really tough game in front of us.
“Both the staff and the players are so hard working, the culture we’ve managed to create here has a relentless focus on improving and making sure every day we can get better.”
Tendayi Darikwa:
“Our only focus is on Friday’s game and trying to get a win, first and foremost we want to get three points against a strong team.
“We’ve spoken so much about how much we’re going to fight for every ball and dig in when we need to, we never give up and that shows in our performances.
“There’s a lot of talk about budgets in this league but one thing you can’t buy is togetherness and I think that’s shown but we need to keep going for these final seven games.”
Opposition information:
The Dons are currently 14th in Sky Bet League One and have enjoyed an excellent first season back at the level following promotion last term. Johnnie Jackson's side have accumulated 50 points and are seven points clear of the relegation places.
The reverse fixture, when the Imps travelled down south, resulted in one of just five City defeats all season so far. Matthew Stevens opened the scoring from 12-yards out before Nathan Asiimwe doubled the Dons’ lead to earn them all three points against the Imps, who had Adam Jackson sent off midway through the first half.
