Ryan Oné reflected on an incredible moment after he came off the bench to give City a late victory over AFC Wimbledon on Good Friday.
The forward - who is on loan from Sheffield United - was on hand to convert inside the penalty area to give the Imps a hard fought three points against the Dons.
He said: “When you come on as a substitute all you want is to make an impact, so I was delighted to do that.
“Being on the bench you get a good picture of the game, so I had an idea of where I could hurt them.
“As a striker, those goals inside the area are the best ones you can get. It was an incredible feeling and one you can’t beat.
“The lads had been fighting all game and as soon as the goal went in everyone was over the moon.”
City are next in action against Reading on Easter Monday and the striker stressed the Imps will be doing everything they can to secure the three points.
Oné added “We have a great group of players here and everyone is focused on the task at hand.
“We’ve been taking it one game at a time throughout the season and that is what we’ll be doing again on Monday.
“Our focus is doing everything we can to get the three points, but we know that it won’t be easy.”
