City are back in Carabao Cup action when they head to take on Burton Albion in the second round of the competition on Tuesday 26 August (7.45pm KO)
The Imps head into the fixture looking to stretch their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions.
Michael Skubala:
"There are some lads who have played two to three games in the past seven days and have put a lot of miles in the tank.
"Some of them need a rest for sure, so that they can get ready for Mansfield Town, but that doesn't mean that we won't be trying to win the game.
"We want to go through in the Carabao Cup because we want to win every game we are involved in. We'll freshen it up but at the same time look to get the balance right.
"We'll see some changes in that game, but it is a good opportunity for the players involved."
George Wickens:
"Every game is an opportunity and Tuesday night is no different. There are some big teams coming into the competition in the third round.
"We want to get through and give ourselves a chance of being pitted against one of them in the next round.
"We're looking forward to it, we've had a lot of games in the opening month, so I'm sure we'll see some changes, but it's a good opportunity for some of the other lads."
Opposition information:
The Brewers booked their place in the second round and subsequently set up Tuesday's tie with a victory over Sky Bet League Two side Tranmere Rovers on penalties.
Albion have pedigree in this competition, having reached the semi-final stage as recently as 2019, where they were defeated by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
So far in the league, Gary Bowyer's men have collected four points from four games. The Brewers have played a game less than everyone else, due to their game against Rotherham United last Tuesday being postponed.
