City head coach Michael Skubala made six changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
Midfielder Ivan Varfolomeev comes into the team to makes his first start for City after signing from Czech side Slovan Liberec last week.
Head coach Michael Skubala said: "The lads have taken to Ivan really quickly and he's a real character, he's like a little Tasmanian devil in training.
"We have to be patient with him as you always ned to with players that have come across from Europe.
"It's an opportunity for a few lads we want to see a bit more of to go out there and show us what they can do."
Frankie Okoronkwo – who joined City on loan from Everton last Monday – also comes in for his full Imps debut.
Zach Jeacock gets the nod in goal, replacing George Wickens, while there is also a start for Academy product Zane Okoro.
