Three Imps were in action for their countries during the September international fixtures, with a number of big qualifying matches for various tournaments taking place.
Ivan Varfolomeev
Ivan Varfolomeev featured in Ukraine U21's 4-0 win away in Lithuania, as they got their UEFA European U21 qualifying campaign off to the best start.
Varfolomeev played 80 minutes for his country, before being replaced by Mykola Oharkov of Ukrainian Premier League side, FC Oleksandriya.
Alongside Lithuania, Ukraine are joined in Group D by Croatia, Hungary and Turkey. Each group is played in a home-and-away round-robin format. The nine winners of each group and the three best runner-up (not counting results against the sixth-placed team) qualify directly for the final tournament, while the remaining six runners-up advance to the play-offs.
Dexter Lembikisa
Deadline day recruit Dexter Lembikisa played 90 minutes for Jamaica as they started the final phase of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying with a resounding 4-0 success in Bermuda.
The victory saw the Reggae Boyz win a fifth World Cup qualifier in a row, the first time they'd achieved the feat since the 1998 World Cup campaign.
Jamaica will be hoping to seal a place at the World Cup finals for the first time in 28 years and followed up their first victory of the break, with a 2-0 success against Trinidad and Tobago. Lembikisa once again played 90 minutes for his side against his Imps teammate.
Justin Obikwu
Justin Obikwu made his third cap for his country from the bench on Saturday morning in a 0-0 draw at home to Curacao.
Obikwu added another cap to his collection as he faced off against fellow deadline day signing Lembikisa, coming off the bench in the 74th minute.
Dwight Yorke’s Trinidad and Tobago side will be aiming to reach their first World Cup since 2006, which remains their sole entry to the competition.
