City striker Freddie Draper believes there’s still more to come from the Imps, after they put in one of their best performances of the season to beat Bradford City 3-0 at the LNER Stadium on Tuesday night.
Draper opened the scoring with just seven minutes on the clock when he converted a cross from Adam Reach, before Jack Moylan struck just before the break to give City the reward their relentless first half pressure deserved.
The Imps saw the second half out comfortably before the returning Ben House came off the bench to wrap up the points and Draper believes that when City perform to the levels they did on Tuesday, they are a hard team to stop.
He said: “It was a game where everything clicked for us it is exciting because I believe there is still more to come.
“The first half performance from us was just electric and in the second we didn’t allow them back into it.
“I think we showed another side to our game in that second half, we put it on them to break us down and they couldn’t, so a clean sheet as well is really pleasing.
“I think it’s no exaggeration to say that we could have scored four or five goals tonight with the chances we created.
“When we play like that, we can beat anyone in this league, and we’ve shown that against a really good side."
Draper is a man in form with three goals in two assists in his last four City outings and the striker is keen to continue his strong performances.
He added: “I’m feeling good, I’m feeling strong and I’m confident at the moment. Right now, it is going well for me but I need to keep doing it and hopefully there is more to come.
“We’ve been practicing those types of free kicks in training and it was fantastic to see it come off. It was another brilliant delivery from Reachy and thankfully I got my head on it.”
