Millie Quaintance feels that her confidence has increased dramatically after a successful first season in red and white.
The summer recruit has been a crucial cog in Lee Mitchell’s side this season, with Quaintance playing in several different positions across the campaign.
Quaintance said: “It has been a great season particularly in the second half of the campaign, where I started getting more minutes and combined with the team better.
“I’ve found my feet a bit more, got to know the girls better and it’s been really good.
“It’s given me a lot more confidence - coming into a new team I wasn’t expecting loads of minutes, but I’ve grown into it as have the other girls and it gives us a strong platform for next season.”
City were defeated on the final day, but Quaintance ended it on a personal high when she netted a potential goal of the season contender against her former club Loughborough Lightning.
She added: “Well I thought I’m going to go for it - why not? I got a goal in the first game of the season and now the last, against my old club as well so it was a good moment.”
