Lana Timson is taking the positives from recent performances into her side’s next match against Sutton Coldfield Town.
City performed well against Sporting Khalsa despite ultimately losing 2-1 at Moorlands, but Timson is hopeful they can take the performance levels into the weekend.
Timson said: “Everyone was disappointed with the result because it was a good performance all around, but they just got a bit fortunate with the deflected goal.
“It’s one of them where we want to start getting points on the board, and getting on a run, because the performances in the past couple of weeks have been good, and we deserved more than what we have been getting.”
The Royals will present a tough task for the Imps however, with Timson wary of the threat they will pose to City.
She added: “We’ll take what we did well from last time we played them and where we can take advantage of things.
“They have had new players added in and so have we so it’ll be a different game to what it was before, and hopefully we can get a result.”
