Lee Mitchell says there is a feel-good factor in the Imps’ dressing room before their trip to Solihull Moors on Sunday 24 March.
City are currently enjoying a three match unbeaten run after collecting five points in eight days.
Mitchell said: “When you have a chance to take a deep breath and take it all in and reflect, overall it’s been a very challenging but good week with the three games.
“Points aside, our performances have been consistent, and when you factor in the conditions and things like that the players were superb, so it’s been a big week for us and a positive one so there’s a real high in the camp.”
The Moors currently sit just a place and two points above Lee Mitchell’s side going into the fixture, and City’s head coach is using the prospect of leap-frogging their opponents as motivation for his team.
He added: “We’re eyeing three points. We won’t take them for granted though, obviously they didn't do so well Tuesday night but it doesn’t mean anything in this league.
“Teams can play well one week and then not so well the next, and they bounce back.
“We have to be on our game, they’re at home but we’re focused on the three points and we’re looking higher up the table, and that’s where our focus is, looking towards the top of the table and trying to chase down Solihull and Sutton Coldfield. Everyone’s up for the game and we’re excited.”
