Faith Horner reflected positively on a strong team performance against Sutton Coldfield Town.
After a quick start from Sutton Coldfield Town to take the lead, Horner was able to find an equaliser for Lincoln City before half-time.
Horner said: “I saw it coming in so I thought I’ll get my head on it. I’m happy but the result is what it is.
“A point is a point, so I think come Tuesday we’ll reflect on it and go it’s not a loss and it was a good performance so hopefully we’ll just build on that.”
A performance of grit and determination saw the Imps narrowly miss out on a win after the visitors were able to find an equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.
Despite the slight disappointment in the result, Horner was pleased with her team’s performance and proud of their improvements.
Horner said: “The performance was probably the best we’ve had all season, so it’s just unlucky.
“I don’t think we can really do much better than we did to be honest.”
