Maddi Green commended her side’s imposing performance, as City secured a 2-1 victory over Sheffield FC in the FA Women’s National League Division One Midlands.
The Imps controlled the game throughout the match and picked up all three points, as Maddi got her name on the scoresheet as well as Millie Quaintance.
Green said: “We know it’s been coming because everyone has been training hard. It was a good performance from the girls and we’ll look to carry it on this Sunday.
“You could tell everyone was up for it, and every single player put a shift in, so you can’t fault any of the girls.”
Green opened the scoring in the 13th minute, with good play from Lucy Farrow setting the winger up.
“From my last game I wasn’t happy with the outcome, so I knew I had to turn up and put my absolute all into this game, so I'm very happy to get a goal."
