Holly Wilson was pleased to score her first goal of the season for the first-team against Skegness Town as the Imps ran out 5-2 victors in the quarter-final of the Lincolnshire County Cup.
The winger doubled City's lead early in the first-half to put her side in control, and the Imps maintained their healthy advantage throughout the encounter to book a spot in the semi-finals.
She said: "It’s feels great to book our place in the last four, it was hard conditions with the pitch being really bobbly, and the weather very windy.
"We managed to get at them with our passes, especially through the full-back and the centre-back, and I think we did really well.
"It felt good to score, it was a bit of a scrappy one, but they all count. It was also good to get 90 minutes in the bank, especially on the hard pitch. My fitness felt good and I'm excited for the semis.”
City will come up against Lincoln United in the semi-finals, and they will be hoping to respond to last year's defeat to the same opposition.
She added: "It was really disheartening losing last year and I think we are even more eager to go through now.
"It's a big rivalry like always, so it will be a good game against them."
