Lee Mitchell is expecting a tough test as the Imps welcome Leek Town to Lincoln Moorlands on Sunday 14 January.
City started 2024 with their first away league win of the season in a 2-1 triumph at Leafield Athletic, and hope to build on that momentum in their match against Leek.
Mitchell said: “Leek’s another tough game, we don’t take them likely. We have a lot of respect for Leek, they’ve ground out results, and they’ve been in this league for a few seasons.
“It was a very good performance against Leek earlier in the season, and I thought we had some good things against Leafield, we just need to develop on that.”
The Imps’ head coach is also pleased with the character his team possess, once again exhibited in their victory over Leafield.
He added: “It was massive what we did against Leafield, and credit goes to the players with the way they applied themselves and got themselves back in with very little time to go.
“It wasn’t just the win it was the way we did it. We did it the hard way, but that’s the character we have in this team.”
