Toni McHamilton is keen to extend City’s good run into the second half of the season after the Imps made it four unbeaten against Leek Town.
The striker was disappointed not to come away with all three points but feels confidence is building within the camp.
McHamilton said: “It was generally a good performance, we were disappointed to come away with just a point because we felt we deserved more than that.
“The run we’re on at the minute is good, we’ve had large gaps between games so I think we have to be happy. There’s lots of positives but we’re still striving for more.”
The Imps travel to Skegness Town on Sunday 21 January in the quarter-finals of the County Cup, and McHamilton is aiming to go deep in the competition this year.
She added: “Last season was a disappointment, it wasn’t the Lincoln City that we know that turned up that day on the final so we’re keen to make amends and try and go far in the competition this season.
“We take each team as they are, it doesn’t matter if they’re two divisions below, we’ll prepare the same way, because we know teams from lower leagues can sometimes cause upsets, so that’ll be in the back of our mind.
“We’ll prepare the same way and play our game.”
