Ella Thompson-Moulding is determined to bring passion into the Imps’ clash against local rivals Lincoln United.
City lost against the same opposition in last year’s County Cup final, and Thompson-Moulding is confident the Imps will bring a lot of fight and energy into this weekend’s encounter.
Thompson-Moulding said: “We definitely need to bring that fight and bring the revenge aspect from last season of putting that right and take it into this game to get a better result.”
The centre-half has stepped up to the plate to captain the side in the last couple of games and Thompson-Moulding described her pride at wearing the armband.
She added: “I got asked and it’s a huge honour that I’m happy to step up and do.
“I think recently we’ve been really pulling together as a team and working hard for each other, so I’m very proud to be able to captain the side. I’ve not really changed my behaviours for it, I like to be a leader on the pitch anyway.”
