Lee Mitchell and his side are prepared for a busy schedule in February as they kick off the month with a trip to Loughborough Lightning.
The Imps enjoyed an unbeaten January, but now face five games in four weeks, and Mitchell is hoping that his team can carry that momentum forward.
Mitchell said: “February’s a tough month - the players are aware, and we’re aware of it. It’s a busy month, we’ve got five games in four weeks.
“We’ll do what we always do and focus on the here and now and go one game at a time.
“Having that positive January was huge, because if we hadn’t it would’ve been a long February. We’re good mentally, and the players have a lot of energy so we’re ready for it.”
An away day at Loughborough brings a lot of challenges however, with the recently-relegated side currently sitting top of the league standings.
He added: “They’re always a fit and physical team, and they can play that way for 90 minutes, so we’re aware of that. We’ll tweak a few things - we won’t change our identity but you’ve got to be respectful of the opposition.
“It’s not going to be an easy task, they’re at the top for a reason, and they’ll want to stay there. We just hope to give them a tough test and plenty of things to think about and we’ll plan, train hard and be as ready as we can be.”
