Lee Mitchell is excited to continue building the momentum his team gained after making it a fifth game unbeaten against league leaders Loughborough Lightning.
The Imps now prepare for a trip to Boldmere St Michaels, and Mitchell is hoping that his side can produce a similar performance against another side pushing for promotion.
Mitchell said: “I’m excited to get to training tonight. I think off the back of that performance, the players' mindset and the way we’re performing is what we’ve been after all season and it’s starting to come together now.
“I think the players are excited to try and reverse the previous results against Boldmere. Let’s look at what we did against Loughborough on set plays - it’s the best I’ve seen us off set plays, both defensively and in attack - I’ve never seen us that strong before.”
Despite Boldmere’s lofty position in the table, Mitchell is confident his side can get a result at the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground.
He added: “We more than matched Loughborough. We were quietly confident going into that game, we had a game-plan and the players executed it perfectly, and we nearly pulled off the win, so that gives us confidence.
“We were confident going there even at their home ground, and we’ll be the same this week. We’re excited to see how that pans out against Boldmere.”
