Leah Hardy thanked the fans and praised the atmosphere they created as the Imps played at the LNER Stadium for the second time this season.
City started off the campaign with a 6-2 win over Notts County at the LNER Stadium, but narrowly lost on Sunday 7 April against promotion-challenging Peterborough United.
Hardy said: “It’s always good to play here especially with the fans, it was a really good game against Peterborough, they’re always going to bring a good side and it’s always a tough game.
“To play here with the crowd behind you, it’s such a good atmosphere - I love it.”
Hardy assisted Maddi Green to level the scores early on before netting herself to put the Imps in front and, despite the final score-line, the midfielder enjoyed the occasion.
She added: “To play how we did against a good Peterborough side, it’s really unfortunate to come away with a defeat.
“To score and assist at the LNER Stadium was a really good feeling though.”
