Lee Mitchell believes City Women are gaining momentum ahead of their match against Boldmere St Michaels.
The Imps got back to winning ways in their previous encounter, convincingly beating Northampton Town 4-0 at Moorlands.
Mitchell said: “We expect another tough game. Last time against Boldmere we started slow, and we can’t afford that this time, we’ve got to come out quickly and not concede early on.
“We’ve learned a lot of lessons over the past week or two, and I think the team is gaining experience and momentum, and confidence is high at the moment.”
City will host the Mikes at the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre (EPC), a facility that Mitchell believes suits his side.
He added: “The EPC is a phenomenal facility, and we’re privileged to play there - the surface is fantastic, and we are a footballing side, so it goes into what we’re about as a footballing team.
“We’re not a front to back team, we like to play through the thirds, we’ve got creative players, so the players are buzzing to be at the EPC, just as they are in the stadium. We’re really looking forward to it.”
