Chyna McIntosh felt City had the better of the second half in their 3-1 defeat against Sutton Coldfield Town.
The Imps had chances just after half-time to equalise but a stunning goal from Olivia Woolston ultimately sealed the points for the hosts.
McIntosh said: “It’s definitely disappointing. We dominated the second half and had chances to win the game, but we just couldn’t find the net.
“There were positives to take for me and the whole team, so we’ll just have to go again.”
McIntosh felt the Imps’ end product was lacking but is confident City will learn from the match.
She added: “We attacked really well, but it was just the final end product which we couldn’t quite get.
“We’ll look at it in training and go over what we need to improve on and then we’ll just have to forget about it and get ready for the next game.”
