Lee Mitchell is hoping his side can start taking advantage of their periods of dominance in games as the Imps welcome Solihull Moors to Moorlands on Sunday 8 October.
City created numerous chances against Sheffield last weekend but ultimately fell to a 2-0 defeat which saw them exit the FAWNL Plate.
Mitchell said: “Not many teams defended the way Sheffield defended, but they had a lot to play for.
“They threw their bodies on the line, and that’s what it took to stop us because we did create a lot.
“We had lots of possession and lots of opportunities, but at some point we’ve got to finish those.”
Solihull travel to Lincolnshire off the back of three consecutive league victories, and Mitchell is expecting a tough game against the Moors.
He added: “Everyone in this league's a tough test, because every team provides a different type of test.
“They’re in a good run of form in the league, and it’s up to us to put an end to that run - so we’ll be going for it and hopefully end up on the right side of the result this time.”
