Ella Thompson-Moulding is excited for the test that third-tier Derby County will pose as the Rams visit Moorlands in the first round of the FA Cup.
City will hope they can build on their 4-3 comeback victory against Lichfield City to spring an upset on Derby County.
Thompson-Moulding said: “I think we’re all really excited, it’s a big cup draw, they’re the league above, but we’re excited for the challenge.
“We’ve had a couple of weeks off now so we’re well rested, and hopefully we can take it to them and show them that we are capable of competing against them.”
The centre-back is aware of the challenge that awaits the Imps but wants her side to take the game to the Rams.
She added: “When you’re the underdog you don’t have that pressure on you and you can play more freely so hopefully we can take that into the game against Derby.
“We’re going to have to work hard in defence, but hopefully we can also take it to them and surprise them.”
