Lee Mitchell is hoping City can take the performance levels against Derby County into their upcoming match against Leafield Athletic.
The Imps came out on the end of a 5-1 loss against their third-tier opponents, but upon reflection, Mitchell was pleased with his side’s efforts.
He said: “I think there were a lot of positives from the Derby game and a lot of things we can now take forward into our league games.
“The way we communicated, the way we worked for each other, the togetherness of the team was all superb.
“There were different things we had to do against Derby that we don’t do against teams in our league but we can use in games going forward.”
Mitchell is aware of the threat that Leafield will pose however, with the bottom side coming into the game off the back of two cup wins.
He added: “I know where they stand in the table, but I don’t think that’s a true reflection of where they’re at, but that’s just this league.
“They’ll be looking to fight their way out, and that’s a dangerous position to be in, and we won’t take them lightly.
“They will be well organised and well coached, and they’ll want the three points. We’ve got to stop that, take our own positives from our recent run and get the win.”
