Lee Mitchell was proud of his team following their FA Cup exit to Derby County.
City were ultimately defeated 5-1 by the third-tier Ewes but Mitchell was still happy with aspects of his side’s performance.
Mitchell said: “I’m really proud of the players today. We had a very clear game plan and I thought the players executed it really well.
“I’m proud of the players with how they worked hard and applied themselves.
“They’ll be disappointed at the minute but on reflection, if we can take what we did into the next few games, I think it’ll pay dividends.”
Mitchell also commended his players for not giving up at any point across the 90 minutes despite the score-line going against them.
He continued, “I think if the players had given up you would’ve seen six or seven.
“The players put some superb last-ditch tackles in, and they did that right to the end, and it once again shows the attitude of the players.”
