Lee Mitchell is hoping his side can continue to build their confidence on Sunday 5 November as City host Leafield Athletic at Moorlands.
The Imps progressed to the first round of the FA Cup two weeks ago as they beat Lichfield City 4-3 at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium, and Mitchell is hoping his side can gain even more confidence against Leafield.
Mitchell said: “We need to make that gap bigger between the teams down there and ourselves so both teams will be up for it I would think.
“It’s about getting the points, and building confidence, we can only think about getting the win and that’s the mentality we need to have.”
Despite currently sitting bottom of the division, Mitchell is not taking Leafield lightly, and believes City will have to be on top form to take maximum points.
He added: “You need momentum going into big games with the FA Cup looming, but it’s important we focus on this weekend and we don’t look past this weekend because we’ve got a job to do against Leafield.
“Leafield have been in this league a long time, behind the scenes they work hard and they’re a well established club, so they won’t be lying down and going through the motions.
"They’ll be working hard to stay in this league, so we’ve got to make sure we take the points off them and look after ourselves.”
