Tilly Fantom praised the togetherness of the Imps after they battled well in a 5-1 defeat to tier-three side Derby County.
The central defender was at the heart of a gritty defensive display from City who did well despite exiting the FA Cup.
Fantom said: “It was a really disappointing result, but I don’t think that reflected how we played as a team.
“I thought we were solid from the start, stuck together as a team and that’s all you can ask for.”
Fantom also felt that the team communicated well and kept encouraging each other right until the final whistle.
She added: “I love my big tackles, and my big headers, and we said before the game that we all need to be loud because that’s how you stick together and know who should be where and how you should play.”
