Lee Mitchell is pleased with the character shown from his side to rescue a point against league-leaders Stourbridge.
Maddi Green struck in second half stoppage time to earn City a 2-2 draw in what Mitchell has described as a performance full of character and attitude.
He said: “It was a crazy ending to the game. To still have the fight and belief is fantastic when you are 2-1 down against a team who are full of confidence.
“I thought we deserved a draw out of the game and it would have been disappointing to have another loss after such a good performance from everyone.”
Mitchell is keen to draw the positives from the weekend’s battling performance as he eyes a strong end to the season, starting with Thursday evening’s fixture against Sheffield.
He continued: “We knew we would have to dig deep in the second half and it unsettled us with the changes they made.
“We kept fighting for each other and we have not had that before - they showed character and attitude in abundance.
“You saw the whole squad on their feet as the goal went in at the end and that says it all. If we can finish the rest of the season like that, it will be an exciting end for us.”
