Lee Mitchell wants to carry City’s winning momentum into their FAWNL Cup determining round match at Boldmere St Michaels on Sunday.
The Imps started their 23/24 campaign with a resounding 6-2 victory over Notts County, following a winning end to pre-season.
Mitchell said: “Cups are always exciting, it’s something we always look forward to, and coming off the back of last Sunday we want to keep that momentum going.
“As always in the League Cup there are no easy games, there are quality teams throughout, and we’ll prepare and give everything as the players do in training every week.”
Mitchell also praised the consistency of his side’s work rate and performances.
He added: “The players and the team are starting to show consistency and that is the key to success.
“You’ve got to bring your game every week, you can’t relax, because good teams like Boldmere will punish you.”
