Lee Mitchell expects a reaction from his players after Saturday’s loss to Newcastle United in the FAWNL Cup.
City were beaten 9-1 by a clinical Newcastle side, with Mitchell admitting his side got what they deserved from the match.
He said: “It’s a cup game and a one-off so we move on and focus on Solihull now - we’ve bounced back from losses before and I’ve every faith we’ll do that.
“I’ve let the players know my thoughts and they know where they stand, it’s how they respond to that ultimately.”
Although Mitchell was frustrated by aspect of his side’s play, he praised the visitors’ performance.
He added: “Fair play to Newcastle, they were clinical and ruthless as good teams are - we expected a tough game but that scoreline should not happen against anyone.
“There’s no excuses, we just need to be better and the players need to be accountable. We let our fans down and we apologise to them.”
