Tendayi Darikwa arrived at the LNER Stadium in July 2024, bringing with him bags of experience having captained Wigan Athletic to the EFL title in the 2021/22 campaign.  

The right-back enjoyed a stellar debut campaign in Lincoln City colours, with his consistent displays rewarded with the Player and Players’ Player of the Season awards. 

Darikwa started his career at Chesterfield before progressing to the Championship where he represented Burnley and Nottingham Forest.  

He spent the 2023/24 season representing Cypriot First Division side Apollon Limassol.
