Tom Bayliss became City’s third signing of the 2024 summer transfer window when he completed a move from Shrewsbury Town.  

Bayliss arrived at the LNER Stadium with over 180 EFL appearances under his belt for the likes of Coventry City, Preston North End, Wigan Athletic and Salop.  

The former England U19 international added to this tally by featuring 39 times in all competitions for the Imps in 2024/25, finding the net on three occasions. The midfielder signed a contract extension with the Imps in July 2025 to extend his stay until the summer of 2028.

During his second full season with the Imps, Bayliss saw the pitch 41 times in all competitions scoring three goals including one late in the game against Mansfield Town in front of the travelling City fans.
