Defender Dan Oyegoke joins the Imps ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Oyegoke began his footballing journey with Barnet before joining Arsenal’s academy in 2017, where he was converted from a forward into a right-back. He later moved to Brentford, making 44 appearances for the Bees’ B team and helping them win the Premier League Cup in 2023.
The defender gained his first taste of senior football on loan at MK Dons during the 2022/23 season, before spending the following campaign with Bradford City. Oyegoke made 28 appearances for the Bantams as they narrowly missed out on the League Two play-offs.
His performances earned him a move to Scottish Premiership side Hearts in 2024, where he made 26 appearances and scored his first senior goal. He subsequently moved to Italian side Hellas Verona, gaining experience in Serie A.
Oyegoke has also represented England throughout the youth age groups, from Under-16 to Under-20 level, winning the European Under-19 Championship in 2022 and featuring at the Under-20 World Cup the following year.
Now joining City, the versatile full-back brings experience from English, Scottish and Italian football, adding defensive quality and attacking threat to the Imps’ squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
