Republic of Ireland international Chieo Ogbene joins the Imps on loan from Ipswich Town until January.

Ogbene began his senior career with Limerick before moving to England and establishing himself at Rotherham United. During four seasons with the Millers, the winger helped the club secure promotion from League One and win the EFL Trophy in 2022.

His performances earned him a move to Luton Town, where he made the step up to the Premier League during the 2023/24 campaign. Ogbene featured regularly for the Hatters, scoring four goals while gaining valuable top-flight experience.

The forward has also become an established Republic of Ireland international, earning the FAI Senior International Player of the Year award in 2023. He joined Ipswich Town in 2024 before spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Sheffield United.

Now joining City, Ogbene brings valuable Premier League, Championship and international experience to the squad, adding pace and versatility to the Imps' attacking options for the 2026/27 campaign.
