Danish forward Mikkel Ladefoged joins the Imps from Swedish side Västerås SK.
Ladefoged began his senior career with Danish club Næsby BK before joining Sønderjyske in 2022. He spent time on loan with Næstved during the 2023/24 campaign, making 20 appearances and scoring nine goals as he continued his development in senior football.
The forward subsequently joined Esbjerg fB on loan during the first half of the 2024/25 season before making the move to Sweden, signing for Västerås SK in January 2025.
Ladefoged quickly established himself as a prolific goalscorer in Sweden, scoring 10 goals in 15 appearances during the 2025 Superettan campaign. He continued that form after Västerås' promotion to the Allsvenskan, finding the net nine times in 14 appearances during the 2026 season before attracting interest from clubs across Europe.
His performances ultimately earned him a move to England, with Lincoln City agreeing a deal to bring the Danish forward to the ProAmpac Stadium in August 2026.
Now 23, Ladefoged arrives at the Imps with a strong goalscoring record and experience of football in Denmark and Sweden. The striker will now look to make his mark in English football and continue his development with City.
