Manchester United forward Ethan Wheatley joins the Imps on a season-long loan.

Wheatley began his footballing journey in Manchester United’s academy, progressing through the youth ranks before making his senior debut for the club in the 2023/24 campaign.

The forward made his first-team debut in April 2024, coming off the bench in a Premier League victory over Sheffield United. He continued to gain valuable senior experience with Manchester United before heading out on loan to develop further.

Wheatley spent the 2025/26 season on loan in Sky Bet League One, gaining regular first-team experience and continuing his development at senior level. He now joins City for the 2026/27 campaign, bringing further attacking options and competition to the squad as he looks to build on his experience in English football.
