City completed the signing of left-back Adam Reach in August 2025.
Reach began his career at Middlesborough where he scored on his debut in a 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers. He signed his first professional contract 10 days later. After returning from a loan at Darlington, Reach made a couple of substitute appearances for Middlesbrough in early 2012 before breaking through more prominently in the 2012–13 season. He scored on his full home debut against Burnley.
Reach established himself as a regular during the 2014–15 season under Aitor Karanka, making 46 appearances, scoring three goals, and contributing several assists, including notable performances in cup competitions. He left Middlesborough in August 2016, signing for Sky Bet Championship club Sheffield Wednesday.
In his first season at Hillsborough, he quickly established himself as a key first-team player, featuring in a variety of roles across midfield and defence. He enjoyed a strong debut season, helping the club reach the Championship play-offs, finishing the campaign with over 40 appearances and three goals.
He built on that the following year with an outstanding 2017–18 season, playing every league match, contributing goals and assists, captaining the side on several occasions, and earning both the club’s Player of the Year and Wise Old Owls awards.
Across the next two seasons, Reach remained a regular presence in the team, continuing to contribute with important goals and assists before he signed for West Bromwich Albion in August 2021, where he stayed until 2024, making 71 appearances and scoring twice.
Before signing for the Imps in the summer of 2025, Reach had a short spell with Wycombe Wanderers where he made 12 appearances. He made an immediate impact at the LNER Stadium, registering an assist on his debut in the EFL Trophy. He scored his first goal for the club with a direct free-kick away at Peterborough United and has continued to contribute in attacking areas.
A standout moment came in December, when his right-foot volley against Barnsley earned the EFL Goal of the Month award.
