Long-serving defender Adam Jackson has been with the Imps since the summer of 2020.
Jackson began his career at Middlesbrough, progressing through the academy and representing England at youth level from under-16 to under-19. He gained early senior experience through loan spells with Halifax Town, Coventry City and Hartlepool United, making his professional and Football League debut with the latter in November 2015. He later joined Barnsley in 2016, where he continued his development and scored his first goal for the club in an EFL Cup tie against Derby County in 2017.
Jackson joined Lincoln City in August 2020 from Hibernian and has since become a key figure at the heart of the defence. He marked his league debut with a goal and clean sheet against Oxford United on the opening day of the 2020/21 season, forming a strong centre-back partnership with Lewis Montsma as the Imps went on to reach the League One play-off final at Wembley.
Now one of the club’s longest-serving players, Jackson has remained a consistent presence at the Imps, playing an important role, contributing to a number of clean sheets and becoming a leader within the squad with the defender currently in his sixth season at the LNER Stadium.
