City will be joined by Manchester United U21 in Northern Group D of the Vertu Trophy.
Michael Skubala’s side will face Manchester United U21 at the LNER Stadium as part of Group D which also features Sky Bet League One side Barnsley and Sky Bet League Two side Notts County.
Dates and ticket details will be confirmed for City’s three group fixtures in due course.
